How do others see me? Ask, and find out
See yourself the way others do.
The most direct way to find out how others see you is to ask them, in a way that makes honesty easy. Second Sight lets the people who know you answer the same questions you did, anonymously, and then shows you the gap.
How it works
- Finish an Expedition, such as Core Personality.
- Create a link for one circle: Friends, Partner, Family or Co-workers.
- Send it however you like. Nothing is posted for you.
- When 3 people in that circle have answered, your results unlock.
The four zones of your map
- Charted territory: you and others agree this is a strength.
- Uncharted territory: others see more of this than you do. These are blind spots, and they are often good news.
- Hidden valleys: you see more of this than others have noticed.
- Terra incognita: nobody has mapped this yet.
The idea has a long history. Read what the Johari window is, and why your friends might know you better than you think.
Rules that keep it kind
Nobody can be rated without asking for it. The only free text a rater can write is one thing they value about you, and a person checks it before you see it. Read more about how we keep this safe.
Questions
How many people do I need?
Results appear once at least 3 people in a circle have answered. That is what keeps them anonymous.
Can I see who said what?
No. You only ever see averages. Selfcarta's servers will not hand out an individual's answers. The Partner circle is the one exception: it is one-to-one and named, and your partner is told that before answering.
Do raters need an account?
No. It takes about 3 minutes on a phone.
What does it cost?
Inviting people is free, and you see your single biggest gap for free. Full Second Sight comes with a Full Carta: A$29, one-off.
